Michelle Podavin serves as President of Plains Midstream Canada (PMC) and is responsible for the strategic direction and leadership of PMC. Michelle joined Plains in 2002 and has since played a pivotal role in transforming the company’s Commercial portfolio through business development and acquisitions and divestitures. Most recently, Michelle served as Senior Vice President, NGL Commercial Assets, where she led the commercial optimization and development of PMC's North American NGL assets and oversaw PMC's acquisition, divestiture and logistics activities.

Prior to joining Plains, Michelle spent six years at major accounting firms, where she completed her Chartered Professional Accountant and Chartered Business Valuator designations. Michelle also holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Alberta. 

Neil Lyons

Senior Vice President, Commercial

Neil Lyons serves as Senior Vice President, Commercial of Plains Midstream Canada (PMC) and is responsible for overseeing the company’s commodity supply, physical and financial trading, commercial logistics and the company’s Canadian trucking business. Neil joined PMC in 2007 in crude oil trading and has since held increasingly senior leadership roles within the company. Neil served most recently as Vice President, Commercial where he was responsible for commodity supply, physical and financial trading and commercial logistics in addition to consolidating all of the company’s commodity risk management activities for Canadian Crude Oil and North American NGLs. Neil holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Calgary.

Tyler Knowler

Vice President, Finance

Tyler Knowler serves as Vice President, Finance of Plains Midstream Canada (PMC) and is responsible for providing strategic leadership to the forecasting, analytics and accounting teams. Tyler joined PMC in 2003 and has had a broad and diverse experience, holding a variety of senior-level positions in the accounting, acquisitions, risk, planning and commercial areas. Prior to joining PMC, Tyler spent five years at Pricewaterhouse Coopers.

Sterling Koch

Vice President, Legal and Land

Sterling Koch serves as Vice President, Legal & Land of Plains Midstream Canada (PMC) and is responsible for providing strategic leadership to the company’s legal, land and Indigenous affairs activities. Sterling previously served as Vice President, Health, Safety, Security, Environment, Regulatory, Stakeholder Relations and Legal, and brings over 25 years of energy industry experience, including legal and regulatory affairs, commercial operations, development, compliance and security. Prior to PMC, Sterling worked with a publicly traded international power generation company for 15 years serving in various executive roles, including legal and regulatory affairs, commercial management and business development. Sterling also brings a strong general counsel background, originating from his days with Western Gas Marketing, Northridge Petroleum, and TC Energy.

Brent Nadeau

Vice President, Human Resources

Brent Nadeau serves as Vice President, Human Resources of Plains Midstream Canada (PMC) and is responsible for the development and delivery of our Human Resource (HR) strategies in support of our business objectives. With over 25 years of related experience, Brent has held a number of senior HR leadership roles in the energy sector with Weatherford, Husky Energy, and BP Canada Energy. Most recently, Brent served as Director, Western Hemisphere HR Productivity and Performance at Weatherford.  

Braden Purkis

Vice President, NGL Commercial Assets

Braden Purkis serves as Vice President, NGL Commercial Assets of Plains Midstream Canada (PMC) and is responsible for leading the commercial optimization and development of the company's North American NGL assets, including business development, capacity sales, joint venture activities and asset logistics functions, as well as overseeing Canadian A&D activity. Braden joined the company in 2016 in a business development role and has held increasingly senior positions, serving most recently as Managing Director, Corporate Development and Asset Logistics. Prior to joining Plains, Braden spent 10 years in sell-side equity capital markets with a focus on research. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Alberta.

Dan Reinbold

Vice President, Information Services North America

Dan Reinbold serves as Vice President, Information Services (IS) North America of Plains Midstream Canada (PMC) and is responsible for the development and implementation of enterprise-wide information and operational technology strategies, ensuring that technology and application platforms align with corporate and operational plans. Dan has over 20 years of senior management experience in the information technology field serving in both public and private sector IT roles. He has been with PMC since 2010, and has led the IS department through transformational changes that have streamlined and strengthened PMC’s business operations.

Nigel Trim

Vice President, Operations, North Region

Nigel Trim serves as Vice President, Operations, North Region of Plains Midstream Canada (PMC) and is responsible for overseeing the company's crude oil and NGL operations and maintenance activities in Plains' North Region, which includes the Canadian Crude and U.S. Rocky Mountain Divisions. Nigel joined PMC in 2014 as plant manager of the company's fractionation facility in Sarnia, Ontario, and has held a number of increasingly senior positions since, serving most recently as Director, Operations. Nigel has over 20 years of operations and leadership experience in the oil and gas industry, including developing business strategies, work management systems and continuous improvement processes with a focus on improving safety performance and regulatory compliance.
